The Agency for Audio and Audiovisual Media Services, within its legal competence to encourage the development of media literacy, determined the need for research on media literacy among students in the first and second year of secondary education in order to make a targeted assessment of the situation among young people. in this area, more precisely to investigate the opinions, habits and perception of students with a focus on their ability to think critically and understand the media messages that are transmitted daily through different media and information channels.
For the needs of AVMU, the research was carried out by the Rating Agency and it is supported by the USAID media literacy project “YouThink” implemented by IREX, MIM, ICS and MOF.
The research is published in the form of a publication and it is available in Macedonian, English и Albanian languages.
