Media Literacy Days 2019 concluded with the two-day conference

The Conference “Media Literacy Days 2019”, hosted by the Media Literacy Network, took place on November 14 and 15, 2019. The Conference was the final event of the Media Literacy Days 2019 that began on October 22.

As highlighted by the AVMS Director Zoran Trajcevski at the opening of the Conference, over the last four weeks, a number of joint activities have been carried out with the members of the Media Literacy Network, including workshops with over 300 elementary and high school students, workshops and meeting with representatives of women’s and retiree’s organizations, open days to visit AVMS and other institutions, including the President Stevo Pendarovski, as well as media visits. Several debates, panel discussions and webinars were held, including the award of the “Roberto Belichanec” prize.

Media Literacy Days Opened

Skopje, 22 October 2019 – Starting from today, until 15 November 2019, the Media Literacy Network is hosting the Media Literacy Days, under the motto “Stop, think, check!”. In this way, the country is joining in the marking of the 8th UNESCO Global Week of Media and Information Literacy.

In the organization of the Media Literacy Network, from October 22 to November 15, 2019, Media Literacy Days will be held. In this way, our country participates in the celebration of the eighth UNESCO Global Media and Information Literacy Week, which will take place from October 24 to 31. During 4 weeks, Macedonian citizens will have the opportunity to participate in thirty workshops, debates, webinars, open days and other events focused on various aspects of media literacy.
