On 21 November 2025, the Institute for Communication Studies (ICS) hosted a debate titled “Youth in Focus: Foreign Information Manipulation and Interference,” intended for the students of Mother Teresa University in Skopje.
The discussion explored the impact of foreign interference, the unregulated online environment, anonymous profiles, and unreliable sources on shaping young people’s public perception, and the importance of safe internet practices.
Among the speakers were Prof. Dr. Enver Abdullahu, Sasho Bogdanovski from the Agency for Audio and Audiovisual Media Services (AVMU), and Sevdali Selmani from the National Computer Incident Response Center (MKD-CIRT). They covered topics such as disinformation, foreign interference, media regulation, the challenges of an unregulated online space, and cybersecurity, offering practical advice to students on how to navigate these issues.
The event was part of the 2025 Media Literacy Days, an annual initiative organized by the Media Literacy Network.
