On 19 November, a media literacy workshop titled “Is It a Trick or Worth My Click?” was held at the “Petar Pop Arsov” Primary School in Skopje, organized by the Institute of Communication Studies and intended for fifth-grade students.
The fifth graders of “Petar Pop Arsov” demonstrated strong critical thinking skills, showing they can recognize what truly deserves a click—and what is just a trick.
As part of the 2025 Media Literacy Days, the workshop gave students the opportunity to learn what media are, how journalists differ from influencers, what constitutes a fact versus an opinion, and how to identify when content is a trick… and when it genuinely deserves their click.
Through examples, quizzes and group discussion, the students showed they can successfully distinguish genuine information from manipulation.
