The university radio UKLO FM-Bitola, radio of the University “St. Kliment Ohridski” – Bitola, which is part of the Media Literacy Network, and this year the edition of the children’s radio program “Slušnete neee!” broadcast on October 12, 2023 devote to media literacy.
The radio show “Listen Neee!” is intended for children, teenagers and young adults. It has an educational, informative and entertaining character, and aims to hear the voice and attitude of children on various issues. The host of the show is Noela Nechkoska, a ten-year-old student at the Elementary School “Elpida Karamandi” in Bitola, who prepares the material with her mother Renata, a professor at the Faculty of Economics in Prilep, a unit of UKLO.
In this episode, Daria Cecchinato from Italy, who is an intern at the University of “St. Kliment Ohridski” – Bitola. During the conversation, the interlocutors talk about various topics about which they share their own experience and vision, search through reliable resources, such as encyclopedias and revised books. The presenter also uses Google Assistant and Siri to capture how the younger generations use technology.
The different contexts in different countries, languages and socio-economic environments are discussed to capture the aspect of situations that are seemingly the same but have different solutions and approaches in different contexts.
