How would the new “Youth Think” project help bring media literacy into the curriculum and educate young people from first grade to university students? Are additional trainings needed for teachers in the education system? What are young people looking for, what skills do they need for more effective media literacy and critical observation of different media messages? These questions were the focus of the new discussion “On the Hour” organized by RADIO MOF, where media literacy in formal education was discussed with:
– Mihailo Lakhtov, Director of the USAID Project “Youth Think”
– Tamara Qupeva, research associate at the Institute of Macedonian Literature and a long-time researcher
a high school teacher
– Luka Pavićević, president of the Union of High School Students
The debate was held as part of the Media Literacy Days 2021, and was broadcast on November 26.
