How do people with disabilities perceive the way they are presented in the media? What are their communication needs, in fact? What can the media do to respond to those needs and change the way they report on them?
These are some of the topics that will be devoted to the workshop “Urgent accessibility” – about the media needs of people with disabilities, which the Agency for Audio and Audiovisual Media Services is organizing on October 28 at 11 am. The workshop can be watched on the YouTube channel at www.avmu.mk.
On it, Kristijan Lazarev – author of the Macedonian reading assistant “Kiko” and project assistant of the “Open the Windows” Association, Elena Kochoska – program manager for employment and education of persons with disabilities in “Polio Plus”, will speak in front of the media workers. Ljubisha Saveski – professor of fashion design, as well as the director of AVMU, Dr. Zoran Trajchevski.
