As part of the 2024 Media Literacy Days, a workshop on “Media Literacy and High School Students” was held on October 31 at the Agency for Audio and Audiovisual Media Services. Students and teachers from the “Nikola Karev”, “Kocho Racin” and “Josip Broz Tito” High Schools participated in the event.
The workshop’s attendees were addressed by Tobias Fischer of the Media Regulatory Authority of the German state of Saxony-Anhalt, who emphasized the importance of media literacy and of identifying the messages sent through different sources and media, of thinking critically and verifying information, and of using the online networks of Facebook, Instagram and TikTok in a safe way.
The workshop was organized by the Agency for Audio and Audiovisual Media Services under the twinning project on “Enhancing the Capacities of the Agency for Audio and Audiovisual Media Services and the Public Broadcasting Service,” in cooperation with the Federal Republic of Germany.
