The Macedonian Media Institute announces a call for submission of project proposals aimed at improving the capacities of civil society organizations for the protection of media pluralism and freedoms in the countries of the Western Balkans.
This call is part of the regional project “Resistance to disinformation and hate speech”, which is implemented in Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia and Turkey, with the support of the European Union.
The call is open to civil society organizations in RS. Macedonia that operate in the field of media, education, human rights or gender equality. Proposals for partnership projects, which the applicants would implement in partnership with other civic organizations, are desirable.
The total budget provided for this call is 36,000 euros.
The requested grant should be between 3,000 and 9,000 euros. Co-financing by the applicant or partner organization is not necessary.
The duration of the proposed project should be from 9 to 18 months.
The proposed project activities should necessarily be focused on smaller cities, settlements and rural areas.
The application procedure consists of two steps:
1) Submission, evaluation and selection of concepts for project proposals;
2) Submission, evaluation and selection of complete project proposals.
The deadline for submitting concepts for project proposals is 12.10.2020 until 23:59.
