Ever since the beginning, the Network’s organization has been following the principle of horizontal structure, where all members are equal and have the same rights and obligations, with the Agency for Audio and Audiovisual Services taking care of its administration.

In 2019, in order to improve the functioning of the Network while still maintaining the horizontal structure, the members formed, through a debate, three working groups, and elected a Coordinating Group and a Coordinator.

Emilija Petreska-Kamenjarova was chosen as the coordinator of the Network. In 2021, she was re-elected Coordinator of the Network for a two-year term.

Emilija Petreska-Kamenjarova was elected as Coordinator of the Network. In 2021, she was re-elected as Coordinator of the Network for another two-year term.

On March 25, 2021, the Media Literacy Network became part of EMIL – EPRA Working Group (European Platform of Regulatory Bodies). Until now, this working group was known as the Media and Information Literacy Taskforce, and with the change of name, its structure was formalized.

EMIL aims to organize ad hoc meetings on topics related to the working group, with a special focus on the development of media and information literacy networks.
