At the workshops held as part of the “Topic for a Dilemma” Project, a total of 140 high school students will receive relevant training and education.
The students had an opportunity to learn more details about medial literacy and critical thinking. This project is realized by the GANIMED Association from Bitola and the TV21 media partner, as part of the “Critical Thinking for Mediawise Citizens – CriThink” Project, which is conducted by the “Metamorphosis” Internet and Society Foundation and the “EuroThink” Centre for European Strategies.
The project is financed by the European Union. The key goals of the project are promoting a culture of critical thinking through educating the high-school students about the detrimental effects of media manipulations on the democracy and European values towards which our society strives; providing broader media literacy for the high-school students beyond their formal education; establishing the Media Literacy Week which the high schools will be marking each year from 5 to 9 November; increasing the capacity of the association and the media outlet involved in this project for dealing with media manipulations through promoting media literacy, in cooperation with the high schools.
