How do people with disabilities perceive the way in which they are presented in the media? What are their communication needs, in fact? What can media do to respond to those needs and change the way they report on them?
These are some of the topics that will be discussed at the workshop titled “Accessibility without Undue Delay”, dedicated to the media needs of people with disabilities, which the Agency for Audio and Audiovisual Media Services will be organizing on 28 October 2022, at 11:00 hrs. The speakers who will take part in the workshop and speak in front of the media workers will be Kristijan Lazarev, author of “Kiko,” the Macedonian reading assistant and project assistant of the “Open the Windows” Association, Elena Kochoska, programme manager for employment and education of persons with disabilities at “Polio Plus”, Ljubisha Saveski, professor of fashion design, as well as the director of AAAVMS Zoran Trajchevski.
